Dear FCC & WaterWay family & friends,
With concerns over COVID-19, we want to take every precaution to minimize risk at church. We don't want to react in fear, but out of love for one another we do want to act in ways that are caring & promote health. So at least thru the end of May, here is what we are doing:
We are having weekly DRIVE-IN WORSHIP in the back parking lot at FCC, where we are broadcasting a 45-minute worship service over the FM radio! In order to minimize physical touch, you can access a bulletin online, give your offering online (or drop it in the basket at the welcome station), and you are invited to bring your own communion.
We are doing several things ONLINE right now - including our Youth & Children’s ministries on Wednesday nights, and Theology on Tap (on Tech) occasionally (dates to be announced). For more information on how to join us, email cody@fccww.org.
It will be at least June before we are back in our normal worship spaces at FCC & WaterWay - but once we make that move, we will also modify what we have normally done for at least a few weeks. We will utilize individually sealed communion cups & wafers, we will wave at one another during the greeting time instead of shaking hands, and we will continue to encourage everyone to give their offerings and access our worship bulletins online. We will also continue to diligently disinfect all door handles at both church sites and will have hand sanitizer available.
During and even after this pandemic passes, please be careful & use common sense. If you feel under the weather, stay home & take care of yourself. Whether you feel sick or not, wash your hands regularly. To help you wash long enough, say the Lord's Prayer while you wash.
Lastly, if you decide to avoid joining us in person for now, worship with us on Facebook Live at 10am by heading to https://www.facebook.com/FccBentonvilleWaterWay/.
In uncertain times, it's important to keep things in perspective and not panic. Psalm 46 says, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear." At the same time, we want to be a safe place for all to worship together. We will make changes as necessary moving forward & will keep everyone posted. For now, be well... and I hope to 'see' you Sunday, either in person or online.
Together with you in Christ... Don
