Ministry Purpose: Direct our DOCK Preschool and Character Kids After-School programs in a way that provide a safe, loving environment for children & families and a positive, supportive working environment for staff while meeting and exceeding state requirements and regulations.

Program Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Offer a stimulating daily program for both the Preschool and After-School programs in a Christian environment which also respects the cultural and religious traditions of a diverse population
• Secure preschool curriculum to prepare children for school and plan daily schedules accordingly
• Supervise paid staff members and promote positive teamwork
o Hold regular Executive Team & Administrative Team meetings
o Work with Program Directors to monitor staff performance and provide adequate support,
including meeting with staff for job performance reviews at least annually
o Work with Program Directors and appropriate other staff in hiring and dismissal
• Parent liaison for DOCK and Character Kids
o Regularly inform parents via written and electronic means regarding updates to programs,
including policy reminders and/or changes and appropriate church opportunities
o Work with staff to inform parents of disciplinary and/or private issues with children o Create opportunities for prospective families to view the programs
• Plan for long-term growth and care of DOCK Preschool and Character Kids After-School programs
• Oversee the budget, keeping costs of staff and supplies within budgetary guidelines, and meeting
with the Senior Minister and Financial Secretary at least quarterly regarding the budget
• Work with Advisory Council (incl staff members & church representatives) on policy and budget
• Oversee staff to ensure that programs comply with Arkansas State requirements and regulations

Staff/Administration Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Attend weekly staff meetings
• Oversee collection of tuition and work with Church Financial Secretary in monthly budget review
• Promote financial support outside of normal budget, including working with donors and fundraisers
• Be available to parents for private meetings when needed
• This position reports to the Advisory Council and is under direct supervision of the Senior Minister

• Bachelor’s Degree of Early Childhood Education preferred
• 5 years experience in a licensed childcare facility or 2 years experience in teaching
• Completion of Director’s training
• Completion of 25 hours of continuing education and/or staff development each year
• Maintaining a positive and professional presence for DOCK & Character Kids in the community
• Maintaining confidentiality & integrity at all times
