Don, our primary preacher on Sundays, has been the Senior Minister at FCC since November 1997 and led the establishment of WaterWay in September 2005. He's a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin (Hook’em Horns!), received his MDiv from Brite Divinity School (TCU) in Fort Worth, and his received his Doctoral degree from the Pacific School of Religion at UC Berkeley with an emphasis on Economics & the Bible. When Don isn’t busy at church he loves spending time in the beautiful NWA outdoors with his wife, Laurie, as well as with their adult kids, Rachel & Jacob, whenever possible.
Our Associate Minister, Rev. Mark Dingler, joined our staff in August of 2023. Mark leads our Youth each Wednesday night throughout the school year, and leads work & justice trips and camps during the summer. Mark also helps oversee our feeding ministries: Chicken Sunday, Taco Tuesday, and the Free Little Pantry. And Mark serves as the Bentonville Site Director for Be The Neighbor, a nonprofit which facilitates Youth service & learning trips across the country. Mark has a Bachelors in Music Education from TCU (Go Frogs!) and received his M.Div. from Yale Divinity School.
Liz focuses on empowering children and families to appreciate their unique identities and relationship with the Divine so their voices then cultivate equitable communities. She is a Certified Candidate for Ordination as Deacon in the United Methodist Church completing her MDiv at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary with a concentration in Childist Theology, Ethic, and Justice.
Linda Sanderlin has been our trustworthy Financial Secretary for the past two decades. She does an excellent job keeping track of all of the church finances, including the finances of our full-time preschool and after-school programs and their staff of 40+ people. If you have any questions related to your giving to the church, Linda is the person to ask!
We are incredibly blessed to have Terry Hicks as our Choir Director at First Christian. Terry is a renowned choral director at Bentonville High School, where the BHS Chamber Choir regularly receives state and national recognitions and awards. Terry has been at FCC since 2011.
Amanda has been serving as the Director of DOCK (“Disciples Of Christ Kids”) Preschool since 2020. Prior to that time she served as one of the Curriculum Coordinators of DOCK.
Logan has been helping with Sunday morning worship technology for over a decade. When not generously giving of his time & talents here, he serves in a similar (but much larger) capacity for the Bentonville School District.
